Introducing the 2012-2013 Religious School Program!!!

We are excited to introduce a new program with more flexible options, designed to accommodate our families’ busy schedules, for the upcoming school year. Be sure to contact us to receive your registration forms! Kindergarten through 3rd-grade students will have the option of meeting at ONE of the following times (contingent on enrollment):

  • Sundays, 9:00 AM-11:30 AM
    —OR—
  • Tuesdays, 4:00 PM-6:00 PM

Our kindergarten through 3rd-grade students will enjoy time playing fun, interactive games and learning with our Hebrew specialists, in addition to the music, art and Israeli dance they already experience.

4th- though 6th-grade students will have three options (contingent on enrollment):

  • Twice-a-Week: Sundays, 9:00 AM-11:30 AM AND Tuesdays, 4:00 PM-6:00 PM
  • Once-a-Week: Sundays, 9:00 AM-12:40 PM
  • Once-a-Week: Tuesdays, 2:30 PM-6:00 PM

We have a lot of exciting opportunities for our students, including exciting Judaic programs throughout the year on some Sunday afternoons, additional Hebrew tutoring sessions to give your child extra help and a home component in which students earn points for participating in the above activities as well as celebrating holidays with their families, doing mitzvot, etc.

Our 7th-grade students will move to Wednesday evenings 4:00 PM-7:00 PM to be with our 8th- through 11th-graders and enjoy dinner with their friends.

Our 8th- and 9th-grade program will still be on Wednesdays 5:00 PM-7:00 PM. For those 8th-graders who would like to become madrichim (assistant teachers) in their 9th-grade year, the madrichim (teaching assistants) training will take place during Wednesday night classes and observation and in-class time will be on the second Sunday of each month.

Our 10th- and 11th-grade confirmation class will still meet on Wednesdays 5:30 PM-7:00 PM, and our 12th-graders will still meet 5:30 PM-6:30 PM on the third Wednesday of each month and enjoy time for more intimate discussions in the Rabbi’s office.

We will have many more exciting opportunities and programs for our students and families! They will be detailed in the letter accompanying your registration forms (as well as the Religious School Family Handbook and Calendar, which will arrive in August).
