A message from our Director
Our Early Childhood Education department includes a Parent & Me program as well as an inviting and warm preschool where children are engaged in rich and creative learning opportunities, where teachers nurture every child’s confidence and sense of self, and where children receive strong and enduring Jewish values.
Our preschool program follows a developmental approach that focuses on growing children’s cognitive, social and motor skills. Teachers get to know each child, celebrating his/her successes while helping each child meet individual growth goals. While children have many opportunities for choice and autonomy, teachers provide a structure to the day that instills confidence and security within each child. Every classroom has a variety of learning centers emphasizing early literacy skills, science concepts, and role playing. We believe that it is also important for children to understand and experience the joys, rituals, and traditions of our rich heritage.
We offer many exciting Parent & Me classes for ages 3 to 30 months. These classes provide parents and children the opportunity to spend special time together exploring, socializing, and playing in both indoor and outdoor environments. Our preschool has a Nursery program for ages 2 to 4 years and a Mechina/Pre-Kindergarten program for ages 4 to 5 years. All children leave our programs ready for any public or private Transitional Kindergarten / Kindergarten program.
I look forward to introducing you to our wonderful early childhood staff and amazing temple community.
Shalom,
Claudine Douglas

Message From Our Rabbi
Dear Prospective Parents,
Thank you very much for your interest in Beth Hillel Day School’s Early Childhood Program. I’m very proud of our school and our dynamic team of educators.
The philosophy of our school reflects the philosophy of the congregation itself, Temple Beth Hillel. We care deeply about creating an environment where children will be exhilarated by the love of learning; where they will feel a deep security and comfort with who they are as Reform Jews and American citizens, and where a caring community is a daily reality.
Our school is part of Temple Beth Hillel, as well as an integral part of the community in which we live. Therefore, we seek to provide not only the highest level of secular and Jewish education, but also raise our children with a sense of responsibility for the health and welfare of our community.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I would be delighted to meet with you individually.
-Rabbi Sarah Hronsky

Mission & Philosophy
Our Mission
Beth Hillel Schools develop children’s academic skills, individual talents and Jewish identities within an inclusive school community affiliated with the Reform Movement.
Our Philosophy
Beth Hillel ECE educates and nurtures children from ages 2 -5, providing an educational experience that immerses our kiddos in learning through play, problem solving, creative expression and collaborative learning. We focus on each child’s social and emotional development. Our small class rations allow teachers to appreciate and challenge each child while nurturing their natural curiosity. Our joyful, hands-on approach inspires children to be self-directed and confident learners who willingly take on new challenges. Jewish values inform every aspect of our curriculum so students emerge with a strong Jewish identity.
