High Holy Day Schedule

  • SLICHOT
    Saturday, September 17 at Adat Ari El
    TBH joins Adat Ari El and Temple Ramat Zion in Slichot observance. 
    • 8:00 pm - We will begin with Havdalah, followed by a thoughtful, engaging program on"Saying Sorry."
    • 9:00 pm - Light refreshments, followed by a reflective Slichot musical service led by the clergy of all three congregations.
  • EREV ROSH HASHANAH BACHUTZ  AT CAMP ALONIM
    Sunday, September 25
    10:00 am to 4:00 pm
    Join your TBH family at Camp Alonim in Simi Valley for a day of climbing, playing, hiking, archery, arts & crafts, learning, and of course, eating! This day of fun is free for all renewed TBH members and includes lunch and our Erev Rosh Hashanah service at the end of the day with Rabbi Sarah Hronsky, Rabbi Keara Stein,  and Songleader Justin Stein.

  • ROSH HASHANAH
    Monday, September 26
    • 8:30 am to 9:50 am - Text study: "Living Alert," Rabbi Jim will lead a text study of the teachings of Moshe Chaim Luzzatto, 1700's Wisdom for the 21st Century (location TBD). 
      Masks are required.
    • 9:00 am - Tot and Young Children's service in Bauman Sanctuary led by Rabbis Hronsky and Stein.
    • 10:00 am - Rosh Hashanah services in our Bauman Sanctuary with Rabbis Hronsky and Stein, Cantor Zerbib-Berda, and the TBH Choir.  
  • SHABBAT SHUVAH & TASCHLICH
    Saturday, October 1
    • 10:00 am - Shabbat Shuvah
      Come together at TBH for a spiritual cleansing, meditative, and heart-opening experience of a sound bath in the Feldman Horn Mercaz. (Bring a yoga mat or towel).
    • 4:00pm to 7:00pm - Tashlich at the Beach at Will Rogers State Beach.
      Gather as early as 4:00pm for Tashlich, Havdallah, and a song session beginning at 6:15pm.
  • KOL NIDRE
    Tuesday, October 4
    7:00 pm on the TBH upper yard. The reflective and beautiful experience of Kol Nidre worship under the starts with glowing stained glass will be repeated again this year. Please be sure to reserve your spot because space will be limited.
     
  • YOM KIPPUR
    Wednesday, October 5
    • 9:00-9:50 am Gentle Yoga and Stretch with Mya Rosett in the Kaufman Beit Midrash. 
    • 9:00 am Tot and Young Children Yom Kippur observance in the Bauman sanctuary led by Rabbis Hronsky and Stein and Songleader Daniel Strauss.
    • 10:00 am Yom Kippur Morning services in the Bauman Sanctuary with Rabbis Hronsky and Stein, Cantor Zerbib-Berda, and Choir.  
    • 1:00 pm Yom Kippur Family Services led by HRTY Senior Youth Group, Rabbis Hronsky and Stein, and Lisa Friedman.
    • 2:30-3:50 pm Text Study: "Living Alert,"  Rabbi Jim will lead a text study of the teachings of  Moshe Chaim Luzzatto, 1700's Wisdom for the 21st Century.

    • 2:00-3:30 pm 12 Step Meeting and Service in the Feldman Horn Mercaz.

    • 5:00 pm Afternoon and Neilah services in the Bauman Sanctuary with Rabbis Hronsky, Kaufman, and Stein, Cantor Zerbib-Berda, and Choir.
